What it isn’t.
What it isn’t, is a get-rich-quick scheme, or a done-for-you scheme.
Get-rich-quick schemes are just that, a scheme, except no one gets rich quick except the one selling the scheme.
They collect your money, they DO get rich off of you and anyone else who is sucked into their Lamborghini show, and you wonder where your money went.
Done-for-you schemes are expensive and they are no more successful than if you took the information and did it yourself. These are the people who want you to think you aren’t capable of doing this.
They do it for you and then when you fail they point the finger at you and say, WE even did it for you and you failed!
And if you stop and think of it, why would they set YOU up with no work on your part when they could do it themselves and cut you out, erasing the middle man?
You have to place that tee, swing that club and chase that ball yourself! Then you’ll put that Eagle score on your score card yourself. And YOU will be the recipient of your hard work. You’ll be the one teeing off, instead of them.
Actually you can use this process to sell anything you want. My hobby is golf. I’m thinking your hobby is also golf!
You can use this report word for word and make your own golf niche. Or you can take it word for word and create a fossils business, or a fishing business, it’s up to you!
One last thing this free report won’t do, it will not teach you the fine points of being an affiliate marketer. It WILL address that issue, however!

How to Choose Your Niche
NEXT, SETTING UP YOUR WEBSITE
In order to do that, you need a host. And you need a content management system (CMS). Don’t get your trousers in a knot over some of these terms, as you progress in the business, you’ll become more familiar with them.
My recommendation for a CMS is WordPress. WordPress is used on 65% of websites across the world. Why, because it’s easy to use, has tons of different themes, and tons of plug ins. It’s as easy as hitting the green on the first stroke on a Three Par.
Choosing a hosting platform.
A few readily available platforms are:
- Wix
- GoDaddy
- Wealthy Affiliate.
All three offer WordPress as their CMS. Beware, Wix and GoDaddy start out cheap but then when you add the basics they get more expensive really quick, at a monthly hosting fee. Wealthy Affiliate has a free trial level and two paid levels and THEY have the good training! They are the least expensive of the three and the most reliable. They don’t charge you for number of plug-ins, or SEO, or a ton of other basics and options, AND they offer tons of FREE training. Did I mention they have FREE training?
HOW TO CREATE AN EMAIL LIST USING AN AUTORESPONDER.
Good autoresponders can be $30-50 a month for a basic no frills app like Aweber. It allows email collection and an autoresponder email sequence builder.
If using an autoresponder such as Aweber, you’ll need a pop up maker such as WPForms, which will also collect some of that hard earned greens fees money.
Then moving up the ladder is Kartra, a much better alternative, which also allows you to create pop ups, create forms for your pop ups, do surveys and quizzes, collect emails, sort them into categories, and several other operations. This is the one I recommend, although all those bells and whistles will cost a little more, but in this case, will help you be successful quicker.
A word about pop-ups. Those are the little windows that pop up when you want to get an email address. They can also pop up right before your visitor exits the website.
I do pop ups for opt-in pages, landing pages and thank you pages. You came through one to get here!
Aweber does not offer that, as I mentioned, you’d need the pop up plug-in such as WPForms. And of course they charge for their service also.
That’s kinda like paying for the greens fees and paying separately for the fairway. Or buying a bucket of range balls and having to pay for putting green balls. Putter not included. When everything you’d get in Aweber and WPForms is included in Kartra, as well as a lot of other assets you’ll need. Why not just go with the one product.
SETTING UP AN ONLINE STORE IF YOU GO THAT ROUTE.
WooCommerce is a great plug in for setting up an online store. Fairly easy to use. WooCommerce allows for all aspects of a product to be included in the ad, such as color and size of golf shirt. It’s possible to set up a WooCommerce site without using the premium level of the WooCommerce plug-in.
Another option is Shopify, which has a lot more bells and whistles. Shopify even includes a website option to set up your own website. I have used both but not extensively enough to recommend one over the other.
FINDING AFFILIATE PROGRAMS FOR GOLF RELATED PRODUCTS.
How to search the internet. This is where you monetize your business. In order to find affiliate programs, all you need to do is type in “golf affiliate programs” in the Google search bar.
Calloway will show up, some trainings will show up. If you have favorite equipment, Google is where you’ll want to search those manufacturers for their affiliate programs.
Sometimes these big companies will give you merchandise to try out and write a review for. Cha-Ching!
You’ll find programs for actual merchandise as well as digital products such as training courses.
THE BIG “A” WORD… ADVERTISE!
Or, as I like to call it, LEAD GENERATION!
Advertising could and should be a course all it’s own. In fact, 85% of being successful at internet marketing is being good at the advertising aspect.
SEO
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. In other words you want search engines like Google, Bing, and Yahoo to be able to find you when someone types in a keyword such as “golf training” or “best golf clubs”.

Social Media
Social Media refers to the online communities people normally visit, such as Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook.
It’s always a good idea to have an account pertaining to your niche on several different social platforms. And then post notes, suggestions, etc on your account.
This spreads your name around and lets people know you’re active in the community, and not just some couch potato who sits there with their feet up waiting for them to send you money.
You can show how much you know about golf by interacting in the social platforms. They all offer free access to users in every niche possible, so the trick is to know how to get in front of those people.
Joining groups related to your niche works well. Also each platform has one or more ways to utilize the platform. For instance Facebook can be tackled in a few different ways.

Paid Advertising.
One of the most popular paid advertising methods is to have a Facebook account with the theme of your products. Then you can give advice, mention products or let people know what you’ve been up to with respect to the golf world.
Then you can have paid advertising that focuses in on particular demographics, such as age, gender, geographical area, and even personal interests, such as… you guessed it, golf!
Google Ads is another great platform to use for paid advertising much in the same way FB does. And you can reach non-facebook customers, you don’t have to worry about whether they have a facebook account.
Another great way to get in front of your customers is to join several online groups that have to do with golfing. Just type in Golf groups using Google, or golf groups for beginners. There are also online groups as well.
Graphics and Images.
When you get ready to put some images in your advertising there are several sites that offer free stock images. One of the easiest to use is Pixabay.
Graphics can be created with a software package such as Canva. Canva is good for creating items such as logos, cartoon images, pictures, etc. to fit your advertising.
Copywriting
Of course one of the most important aspects of any type of marketing is copywriting. Writing the text for your ad. Which attracts your customer, points out their want or need, and convinces them that your solution is the best.

Copywriting should be a training course all on its own. There are several great books on copywriting listed below. This by no means is an exhaustive list, as there are 1000’s of good books on copywriting. These are just my favorites.
HOW TO TURN BUYERS IN YOUR NICHE INTO CUSTOMERS OF YOURS.
The first step to turn customers into buyers is to create an email list. In order to build that email list you need to create a sales funnel. In short, you’ll bring your ideal customer into your funnel, move them along the process and bring them to the checkout cart.
One product I have used in the past, and which is great for beginners is Clickfunnels by Russell Brunson. He outlines how to create a funnel from scratch in order to put potential customers into your sales funnel, move them along and then bring them to the sales table.
He also offers pop ups, a website option and other great options!
WHERE TO FIND GOOD TRAINING.
Training runs from $6 courses for very little information all the way to $5000 courses that defeat the purpose of trying to make money.
Be VERY careful spending a lot of money on training until you are more familiar with the industry. They will teach you how to market THEIR program for a ton of money.
Wealthy Affiliate has awesome training for FREE when you sign up for web hosting. And that training is priceless. Including how to set up your WordPress website in 30 seconds, and all kinds of other training by 800,000 OTHER internet marketers who put out free training on the platform. That’s how I started. Those guys rock!

Also when you decide you are going to do this, make yourself a commitment to read all the books you can find on copywriting and marketing, get signed up for great training with Marlon and Wealthy Affiliate, an immerse yourself in it.
There is great money in advertising and the internet has 7.5 billion possible customers, (going on 8 billion as you read this).
WHAT ARE THE THREE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS YOU NEED TO START AN INTERNET BUSINESS?
First you need a reliable platform. As stated earlier there are numerous platforms for your website, why not choose one that gives you access to create several websites. And one that gives you the second of the three most important aspects of good internet marketing… TRAINING. That would be Wealthy Affiliate.
Secondly, you need training. Some of the best training comes from people who are in the marketing business and have been in the marketing business most of their lives.
