Prices are approximate, in fact, some of these prices changed as I was researching the items. Make sure you check for lower priced sellers in Amazon, as some may have been out of stock while I was doing the legwork.
I can’t wait, I wanna know now what the best is. What is the Best?
The saws are positioned by price, lowest to highest, which actually has very little to do with the quality of the saw.
As you can see we start out with the Craftsman with 19.2 Volts of power, three of the others have 18V and the DEWALT has 20V.
All saws have 6-1/2 inch blades except for the Ridgid. Which makes sense, Ridgid is a more heavy duty, industrial grade tool. Ridgid doesn’t even offer the wimpy 6-1/2 inch blade. That allows it the top of the line on cutting depth, almost 2-1/2 inches!
That also allows Ridgid the higher price position. Craftsman still comes in as a good deal, quality wise, for the price. Although the quality has arguably come down a bit in the last few years, they still get the best spot for the price.
Bosch comes in as the lightest, and if you use the tool a lot, the lighter weight can be a big asset. The craftsman weight is a big question mark as the Sears website said it was 12 lbs.
The Milwaukee bare tool is less expensive than the others, which is a plus if you have other tools that use the Red-Lithium XC batteries!
All these tools have excellent reputations. Some fit the hand better, others last a little longer on the batteries, that’s why they all made it my list of best rated circular saws!
